Dalton Park is proud to be supporting this year’s Poppy Appeal, the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign held every year in November.

The Poppy Appeal is a regular event in Dalton Park’s community calendar, led each year by Murton-based volunteer Mr Brown. The charity has a dedicated space in the centre for the next week, shoppers will be able to show their support and purchase a poppy donating to this year’s appeal.

Jerry Hatch, Centre Manager at Dalton Park said: “It’s wonderful to have local volunteers from The Royal British Legion back at the centre.

“People might not be aware that you can buy a poppy this year. We’re delighted we can support the charity and raise awareness that the Poppy Appeal is still taking place. Feedback from customers has been lovely and it’s great to be able to uphold some of our centre’s traditions.”

The Royal British Legion volunteers will be on-site at Dalton Park every day until 7 November, find them in the unit next to Radley located near the central entrance.

Dalton Park is inviting customers and staff to observe the two-minute national silence on Remembrance Sunday (8 November) and Armistice day (11 November), and will be turning their entrance lights red both days in support.
