A charity is urging people to pull on their silliest odd socks to raise money to help vulnerable older people have a better Christmas.
Age UK County Durham is asking people to rummage through their sock drawers in support of a campaign to ensure the older generation aren’t lonely or hungry this festive period.
The aim of the campaign is to be as colourful and crazy as possible with each participant making a donation to take part and the company choosing a winner.
The images are then shared on social media to raise awareness of Age UK County Durham and how it helps older vulnerable people across the area.
Susan Jones, Business Development Manager, said: “We really want people to have fun with this and support us to make sure older vulnerable people have just as happy a Christmas as everyone else.
“We’ve all got odd socks hiding at the back of the drawer so dig them out. They can be colourful, spotty, stripy or festive – the sillier the better.”
